Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge - Absecon, NJ

This direct hire opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy. The position offers a hands-on leadership role that involves dispensing, patient counseling, and ensuring strict adherence to pharmacy operations and regulatory standards at either Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ.

Ideal candidates will have 35 years of pharmacy experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding settings. Holding active licensure in Arizona or New Jersey is required, while additional licenses from West Coast states are highly desired to support the pharmacys national expansion goals. Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is a plus, as is familiarity with PioneerRx system (training is available).

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Arizona or New Jersey (local candidates only)
• 35 years total pharmacy experience
• Experience in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy
• Comfortable functioning as a working PIC, managing day-to-day operations
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations for a 503A compounding facility
• Highly preferred: Additional licensure in CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO
• Previous pharmacy management and PIC experience preferred
• PioneerRx experience beneficial but not required

Location:

• Gilbert, Arizona OR West Egg Township/Galloway, New Jersey (local candidates only; relocation not currently approved)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions and provide comprehensive patient counseling
• Supervise pharmacy staff and uphold SOP, USP <795>/<800>, and FDA 503A compliance
• Manage inventory control, including controlled substances and documentation
• Address patient inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all states served

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage as the pharmacy grows
