Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Apopka, Florida
An interim Pharmacist in Charge is needed to support a specialized retail HIV/AIDS pharmacy serving patients with mail order prescriptions. This 16-week contract role begins August 24, with an initial two-week overlap for training alongside the current Pharmacist in Charge.
Location: Apopka, FL
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards
- Provide high-level patient care and medication support, particularly for HIV/AIDS medications
- Maintain strong communication with patients, healthcare providers, and staff
- Ensure consistent, reliable presence and punctuality throughout the assignment
- Utilize pharmacy software to manage prescriptions and records, preferably QS1
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medications must be clearly stated on the resume
- Familiarity with QS1 software is highly preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, professionalism, and effective communication
