Per Diem Hospital Outpatient Pharmacist in Charge in Boyce, LA

A part-time position is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This per diem opportunity offers a 1-year contract with the potential for extension or conversion to direct hire, working 20 hours weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, managing daily pharmacy operations.
• Perform chart reviews and maintain precise documentation.
• Verify and fill prescriptions when pharmacy technicians are unavailable.
• Complete internal reports and forms using Excel.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Work independently with minimal support staff.
• Limited patient interaction, primarily upon request.
• No billing or insurance duties involved.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience.
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to work reliably and independently.
