Outpatient Pharmacist in Charge in Breckenridge, CO

This opportunity seeks an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee daily operations at a small-volume outpatient pharmacy serving a clinic setting. The position offers a hands-on leadership role with direct responsibilities for dispensing, verifying, and managing workflow while maintaining compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and standards.

Located in Breckenridge, CO, this contract assignment begins as a one-month engagement with potential to extend or convert to a permanent role if the right fit is identified. The pharmacy team is composed of one pharmacist and one technician, emphasizing close collaboration and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to guarantee efficient workflow and adherence to regulatory guidelines
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, accreditation standards, and internal policies
• Supervise, train, and support both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Ensure accurate dispensing, verification, and distribution of medications in alignment with safety standards
• Perform active dispensing, verification, and filling duties as part of the working PIC role

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Pharmacist License is required
• Recent experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist in Charge
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a small pharmacy team effectively
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
