Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Brookfield, Wisconsin

This opportunity calls for a dedicated pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 13-week contract at a small acute care hospital setting. Located in Brookfield, WI, this site features a 7-bed emergency department alongside an 8-bed inpatient micro hospital. The role involves managing pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site, ensuring compliance and smooth workflow within a specialized healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge and staff pharmacist, overseeing pharmacy functions and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct thorough audits and manage restocking activities to maintain efficient medication supply.
• Utilize Epic for order entry and Omnicell for site automation.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, especially in light of the site's history with controlled substance diversion concerns.
• Maintain accountability for day-to-day pharmacy operations without additional staff support.

Qualifications:

• Active Wisconsin pharmacy license.
• Proven pharmacy management experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Epic systems and Omnicell automation tools.
• Ability to maintain strict control and oversight in a sensitive environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime shift
• 40 hours per week
