Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Chandler, Arizona

A growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure compliance at one of their locations in Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ. This direct hire opportunity requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable with dispensing, patient counseling, and managing regulatory standards in a 503A environment.

The ideal candidate will support expansion efforts by providing coverage on the West Coast and beyond, making West Coast licensure highly desirable. Experience with mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy is strongly preferred, along with demonstrated PIC or pharmacy management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide professional patient counseling
• Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure adherence to SOPs, USP <795>/<800>, and FDA 503A regulations
• Manage inventory control, including controlled substances and documentation
• Address patient inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Maintain comprehensive regulatory compliance within the licensed states

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in AZ or NJ corresponding to the work location (AZ or NJ)
• 35 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in mail-order, compounding, outpatient, or community settings
• Proven ability to function as a working PIC
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing 503A facilities
• West Coast licenses (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) are highly preferred
• Prior PIC or pharmacy management experience is advantageous
• PioneerRx experience is a plus but not required

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Some weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy expands
