Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Downingtown, Pennsylvania
This opportunity invites an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee comprehensive pharmacy operations with a focus on regulatory compliance, team leadership, and production oversight. The role is based in a dynamic setting requiring a highly skilled professional to serve as the legal PIC for multiple non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Act as the principal liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, regulators, inspectors, and auditors.
- Manage and report any operational, ownership, or facility changes, including PIC transitions.
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production teams.
- Ensure proper batch record creation, review, and timely approval.
- Support production scheduling and inventory management to maintain on-time delivery and capacity planning.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of USP standards and applicable state and federal regulations related to 503A sterile compounding.
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
