Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge in Gilbert, AZ

A growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee and actively participate in daily pharmacy operations. This direct hire position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 35 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding environments. Candidates will be based in either Gilbert, AZ, or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ, with a strong preference for those holding West Coast pharmacist licenses to support national expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions and provide thorough patient counseling
• Supervise pharmacy staff and uphold standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>/<800> standards and FDA 503A regulations
• Manage inventory, including controlled substances and accurate documentation
• Address patient inquiries while maintaining exceptional customer service
• Oversee regulatory compliance for multiple state jurisdictions

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Arizona or New Jersey (location dependent)
• 3 to 5 years of total pharmacy experience
• Must be proficient and comfortable in a working PIC role
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing 503A facilities
• Strong preference for candidates licensed in West Coast states such as California, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, or additional New Jersey licenses
• Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience highly valued
• Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software preferred but training is available
• Local candidates to Gilbert, AZ, or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ prioritized (relocation not approved)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows

This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $68$75 per hour (DOE), translating to approximately $145,000 to $156,000 annually.
