Mail Order IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Charge in Greenwood, IN
A growing mail order compounding pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with multi-state licensure to lead operations and drive positive growth. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to shape a pharmacy poised for significant expansion, transitioning from a 503A non-sterile compounding facility to a cutting-edge sterile compounding center later this year.
Location:
- Greenwood, IN (with initial training and periodic visits to Salt Lake City, UT)
- New facility opening soon in Salt Lake City, UT, expanding sterile compounding services
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Lead and mentor a team of pharmacists (currently 4) and technicians (currently 3), fostering a positive, growth-oriented culture
- Manage high-volume prescription processing (approximately 1,000 Rx/day), primarily focusing on peptides and GLP-1 medications
- Collaborate on scaling the operation to accommodate up to 10,000 Rx/day in a new 7,000 sq ft facility opening in late fall
- Train for 46 weeks onsite in Salt Lake City, with potential for remote PIC duties supplemented by monthly site visits
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist authorized in AL, AR, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV
- Willingness to obtain UT license after hire
- Experience with 503A non-sterile and sterile compounding preferred
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on team-building and organizational growth
- Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system is a plus
