Mail Order IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Indianapolis, Indiana

A Mail Order Compounding Pharmacy based in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a certified Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with expertise in both non-sterile and sterile compounding. This opportunity offers the chance to lead and grow a dynamic operation while influencing the pharmacy culture positively.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge overseeing a multi-state licensed mail order pharmacy currently focused on 503A non-sterile compounding.
• Manage operational workflows for approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily in a closed-door environment with a small, dedicated team.
• Lead and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to foster a positive and productive work culture.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state pharmacy laws across multiple states including AL, AR, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV; assist with Utah licensure post-hire.
• Support the launch and expansion of a new 7,000 sq ft facility scheduled to open later in the year offering sterile compounding capabilities with significant growth potential.
• Help scale operations towards anticipated volumes of up to 10,000 prescriptions per day, expanding team size substantially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist licensure in multiple states as outlined above; Utah licensure is highly desirable or achievable shortly after hire.
• Experience as a Pharmacist in Charge in a mail order or compounding pharmacy setting.
• Proficient knowledge of 503A compounding regulations and mail order pharmacy best practices.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of creating motivating work environments and driving operational growth.
• Familiarity with compounding sterile and non-sterile medications; experience with or knowledge of peptides and GLP-1 preferred.
• Comfortable with Pioneer Rx system or similar pharmacy management software.

Schedule & Location:

• Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Initial onsite training in Salt Lake City, UT for 4-6 weeks. Potential for remote PIC responsibilities after training with monthly site visits.
