Mail Order IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Irving, Texas
An established mail order compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations and support growth initiatives in a dynamic environment. This direct hire role offers the opportunity to be part of an expanding facility, transitioning into sterile compounding with a new 7,000 sq ft site launching later this year.
Location: Irving, TX (with initial training in Salt Lake City, UT)
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Charge with multi-state licensure including AL, AR, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV (ability to apply for UT license upon hire)
- Experience in 503A non-sterile compounding, mail order pharmacy operations
- Familiarity with sterile compounding practices (training provided as site expands)
- Strong organizational skills and leadership experience to foster a positive workplace culture
- Ability to manage high volume operations (approx. 1,000 prescriptions/day currently)
- Knowledge of Pioneer Rx system preferred
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Lead and oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge for a multi-state mail order compounding pharmacy
- Mentor and cultivate a positive culture, driving team growth and engagement
- Prepare the team and workflow to scale, supporting the transition to a larger facility with sterile compounding capabilities
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and technicians to maintain high-quality service and operational efficiency
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Facility Overview & Growth Opportunity:
- Current site staffed with 4 pharmacists and 3 technicians
- Operations expected to grow to 10,000 prescriptions/day with expanded sterile compounding services
- New site opening in Oct/Nov offering advanced compounding capabilities including peptides and GLP-1 medications
