Pharmacist in Charge in Las Vegas, NV
This direct hire opportunity in Las Vegas, NV, seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead and manage a closed-door 503A/B sterile compounding pharmacy. This key leadership role requires a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and team development while supporting multi-state pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities include serving as the designated PIC responsible for ensuring compliance with USP, FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations. You will oversee sterile compounding workflow, personnel management, quality assurance, and the maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Additional duties include hiring, supervising, and training pharmacy staff, managing inspections and audits, and maintaining environmental monitoring and documentation programs. Collaboration with leadership on operational strategy, expansion, and licensing initiatives is essential to support the pharmacys growth and compliance.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- PharmD degree required
- Active pharmacist licenses in Nevada and California (or completion of California licensing process)
- Additional state licenses preferred or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 3 years of sterile compounding experience preferred
- Prior PIC or pharmacy management experience strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, and sterile compounding regulations
- Experience with multi-state pharmacy operations and non-resident licensure
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
- Background in 503A or 503B compounding environments is a plus
