Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Magalia, California
An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist In Charge in the Magalia, CA area on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the pharmacy operations for approximately 12 to 13 weeks, starting Monday, June 22. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with weekend hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Handle opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
- Complete necessary Pharmacist In Charge paperwork and maintain compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active California pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail pharmacy; previous experience as a Pharmacist In Charge is highly preferred.
- Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) card are required.
- Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system is essential.
- Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
