Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Media, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a well-established facility, focusing on both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes. The role offers a 13-week contract-to-hire position based in Kennett Square, PA, with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated Pharmacist in Charge for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, unless otherwise assigned.
• Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and other regulatory agencies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, and PIC changes.
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
• Manage daily batch record creation, review, execution, and approval.
• Support production scheduling to maintain on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity planning.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 5 years experience serving as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of USP standards and applicable state and federal regulations related to 503A compounding operations.
• Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Flexibility for Saturday shifts if needed
