Pharmacist in Charge in Media, PA
This role offers the opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a well-established pharmacy operation, with a 13-week contract to hire position located in Media, PA. The position requires strong leadership skills, regulatory expertise, and hands-on experience managing both sterile and non-sterile compounding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless delegated otherwise
- Serve as the main liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure timely reporting of operational changes, ownership transfers, facility updates, and PIC transitions
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts
- Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
- Manage daily batch record creation, review, approval, and production scheduling
- Ensure inventory accuracy, capacity planning, and on-time product delivery
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager
- In-depth knowledge of USP standards and relevant federal and state regulations governing 503A compounding operations
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections with successful outcomes
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays if needed
