Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Oakland, California

An interim Pharmacist In Charge position is available for an immediate start in the Sacramento/El Dorado Hills area. This is a contract role lasting approximately 8-13 weeks, ideal for a pharmacy professional with strong retail experience who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities.

Location

• Sacramento/El Dorado Hills, CA

Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Closed Sundays

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians
• Oversee opening and closing of the pharmacy
• Serve as the Pharmacist In Charge, completing required documentation and paperwork

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge is highly preferred
• Valid California pharmacist license
• Immunization certification and current BLS card required
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system preferred
• Willingness to assume full PIC duties and responsibilities
