Long Term Care Pharmacist in Charge - Phoenix AZ

RPh on the Go is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a growing 503A and Long-Term Care pharmacy in Tempe, Arizona.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to step into a leadership role and gain valuable experience in pharmacy operations, management, and non-sterile compounding.  

Schedule:

• Full Time
• 32 Hours Per Week
• MondayThursday
• Choose Your Schedule:
  • 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Potential to increase to 5 days per week in the future

Pharmacy Environment:

• 503A Compounding Pharmacy
• Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy
• Non-Sterile Compounding
• Training Provided

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Review, verify, and approve prescription orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
• Supervise, mentor, and support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Provide performance feedback, guidance, and ongoing training
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution
• Maintain quality standards and regulatory documentation
• Collaborate with leadership on operational improvements and process enhancements
• Support exceptional patient care and customer service initiatives
• Participate in non-sterile compounding activities as needed

Requirements:

• Active and Clear California Pharmacist License
• Active and Clear Arizona Pharmacist License
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience
• Mail Order, Long-Term Care, or 503A Compounding experience strongly preferred
• Non-sterile compounding experience preferred but not required
• Pharmacy management experience preferred but not required
