Per Diem Outpatient Hospital Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Pineville, Louisiana

A part-time opportunity is available to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an Opioid Treatment Center located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role requires leadership of pharmacy operations within a specialized healthcare setting focused on opioid treatment.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
• 5:00 AM 10:00 AM
• Approximately 20 hours per week

Responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy activities, performing chart reviews, verifying and filling prescriptions when needed, and maintaining accurate documentation. The PIC will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and complete internal reports and forms using Microsoft Excel. This role involves limited patient interaction unless specifically requested and does not include billing or insurance duties. Candidates must be prepared to work independently, especially during times when pharmacy technician support is unavailable.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience handling controlled substances, hospital pharmacy, inpatient and outpatient pharmacy preferred
• Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong reliability and ability to work independently required
