This opportunity is tailored for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) seeking a part-time role within a specialized opioid treatment center. The position is based in Louisiana, offering a consistent early morning schedule with the potential to evolve into a permanent role following an initial one-year contract.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 5:00 AM 10:00 AM (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities: Lead pharmacy operations as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring regulatory compliance Conduct chart reviews and maintain meticulous documentation Verify prescriptions and dispense medications when technician support is unavailable Complete internal reporting and documentation utilizing Microsoft Excel Operate independently in the absence of technician assistance Engage with patients only upon request, focusing primarily on pharmacy operations Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations throughout all processes

Qualifications: Active pharmacist license in Louisiana with no disciplinary issues 35 years of pharmacy experience Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment settings is preferred but not mandatory Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes Capability to work autonomously within a structured workflow

Work Environment: Small, specialized treatment facility with emphasis on compliance and patient safety Minimal supervision with independent responsibilities Limited direct patient interaction to support focused clinical operations
