Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge - San Luis Obispo, CA

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) seeking a flexible per diem position supporting a mail order medical equipment environment. The role focuses on fulfilling the California PIC requirements while the permanent PIC completes their licensure process. This position offers a balance of remote work with occasional onsite visits as needed, providing convenience combined with essential oversight responsibilities.

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA (Remote with occasional onsite presence required)

Schedule:

• Guaranteed minimum of 11 hours per week
• Flexible per diem hours over 4 to 8 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the facility during the licensure period
• Maintain compliance with California regulatory requirements
• Provide oversight to ensure proper management of pharmacy operations remotely
• Be available for occasional onsite inspections or interventions if necessary

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active and valid California Pharmacist license
• Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy operations in a mail order or medical equipment environment is a plus
• Ability to work independently and remotely with occasional onsite availability
