Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - San Mateo, California

An interim Pharmacist In Charge opportunity is available for an immediate start in the Sacramento/El Dorado Hills area. This contract role offers a chance to lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting for an 8-13 week period, providing vital management and pharmacy care services.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulations.
• Handle opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
• Fulfill Pharmacist In Charge duties, including completion of all necessary regulatory paperwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience.
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge in a retail setting is highly preferred.
• Current California pharmacist license in-hand.
• Immunization certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system is preferred.
