An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to serve as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with expertise in both sterile and non-sterile compounding. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to professional growth, offering a chance to advance within the position over time. The assignment is located in Abilene, TX, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Prepare and supervise both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff to maintain high-quality patient care
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate records for compounding activities
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication usage and safety

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Pharmacist License required
• Willingness to obtain multiple state licenses over time
• Minimum of one year of licensed pharmacist experience
• Proven experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Motivated to grow professionally and take on increased responsibilities
