A unique opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a growing mail order compounding pharmacy dedicated to delivering high-quality, non-sterile and soon sterile compounded medications. This role requires a detail-oriented and positive leader capable of fostering a collaborative culture and supporting significant growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge overseeing multi-state licensure responsibilities.
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations including supervising 4 pharmacists and 3 technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for 503A non-sterile compounding with plans to expand into sterile compounding at a new 7,000 sq ft facility.
  • Contribute to scaling the pharmacys prescription volume from 1,000 to 10,000 Rx/day.
  • Mentor staff while promoting a positive culture and continuous improvement.
  • Work with Pioneer Rx system to streamline workflow and enhance patient safety.
  • Support training initiatives, including a 4-6 week onsite training period, and perform ongoing monthly visits if PIC duties are held remotely.

Qualifications:

  • Current pharmacy licensure in multiple states including AL, AR, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV.
  • Ability to apply for UT licensure upon hire.
  • Experience in mail order pharmacy operations and knowledge of compounding, especially peptides and GLP-1 medications.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team growth and organizational development.
  • Comfortable with remote work arrangements following initial onsite training.

Location: West Jordan, UT, with onsite presence required especially during the transition to the new facility slated to open in late fall.
