Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Iowa, Louisiana

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a hospital setting. This role involves supporting a 230-bed acute care facility with a range of clinical and operational pharmacy duties. This assignment offers flexible shift options to suit your availability and preference.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify medication orders to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
• Provide consultative services to physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy.
• Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication dosing and outcomes.
• Document and communicate effectively within the healthcare team, utilizing the EPIC system.

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Louisiana is required.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• Multiple shift options available including varied day and evening hours.
• Shift lengths may be 8, 10, or 12 hours, examples include: 7AM3:30PM, 8AM4:30PM, 1PM9PM, 2PM10PM, 7AM5PM, 11AM9PM, 12 noon10PM, 7AM7PM, or 8AM8PM.
