URGENT NEED: Warehouse Pharmacist

RPh on the Go is seeking a Pharmacist to help support a busy warehouse pharmacy. This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a pharmacist with strong attention to detail and some knowledge of IV medications.

Location: Illinois
Contract: 6 months
Schedule: MondayFriday, 10:30 AM7:00 PM

Requirements:

Clear and active Illinois Pharmacist license.
Some knowledge of IV medications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a high-volume warehouse pharmacy environment.

Job Duties:

Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty medications.
Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and minimize waste and expired products.
Ensure proper storage conditions and compliance with USP standards and state and federal regulations.
Verify medication orders before preparation or shipment.
Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping.
Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to ensure medications and supplies are available for patient orders.
Review controlled substance inventory and maintain required documentation.
Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
Work closely with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of medications to patients.
Use pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies.
