Hospital Pediatric Pharmacist | Jacksonville, Arkansas

A leading pediatric hospital is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to support its inpatient pediatric pharmacy services. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-acuity, trauma-level 1 teaching hospital serving pediatric patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is contract to hire with an immediate start, structured as a 13-week assignment with potential for permanent placement.

Location: Jacksonville, Arkansas
Schedule: 7 nights on, 7 nights off; 12-hour night shifts (7pm7am, ThuWed) with flexible scheduling options available

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications according to physician orders and pediatric dosing standards
• Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication use
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare teams on proper medication administration and safety
• Monitor patient therapeutic outcomes and intervene to resolve drug therapy issues
• Manage non-formulary drug evaluations and ensure cost-effective therapy alternatives
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate pharmacy records
• Participate in staff education, discharge planning, and drug information services
• Coordinate medication ordering, inventory management, and supply substitutions as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Arkansas pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred, ideally in pediatrics
• IV therapy experience or certification highly preferred
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) credential advantageous
