Outpatient Pharmacist in Jeffersonville, IN
This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to support an in-house pharmacy within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that specializes in serving behavioral health patients. Operating Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., this position offers an 8-week contract with the potential to transition into a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role.
Responsibilities include performing typical community pharmacy duties such as verifying prescriptions, counseling patients, managing multi-dose and blister packing, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. You will work alongside two experienced pharmacy technicians within a newer facility equipped with the Pioneer system. The pharmacy handles an average volume of 100 prescriptions daily, offering a dynamic yet manageable workload.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Recent experience in community pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with 340B program preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills to engage with behavioral health patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with dedicated support staff
