Hospital Pharmacist - Jeffersonville, Indiana

This role offers the opportunity to support pharmacy operations in a 200-bed community hospital located in New Albany, IN, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY. The position is a contract assignment with a start date as soon as possible and a duration of approximately 13 weeks or longer.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating 1st and 2nd shifts
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Work 8 days on followed by 6 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Conduct final checks on medications before they leave the pharmacy
• Occasionally compound sterile products as needed
• Review sterile products prepared by pharmacy technicians
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems as part of daily workflow

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient in performing order verification and medication checks
• Familiarity with sterile product compounding procedures
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Ability to work flexible rotating shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
