Travel Pharmacist - Kailua Kona, Hawaii

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available on the Big Island of Hawaii, serving a 100-bed community hospital in Kailua Kona. This 13-week+ assignment begins in late November and involves day shifts overseeing critical pharmaceutical operations in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize drug therapy.
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Hawaii pharmacist license required.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with clinical teams.
