Per Diem Outpatient Retail Pharmacist in Kansas City, MO

Seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist for retail pharmacy coverage in Kansas City, MO. This opportunity involves supporting a closed-door retail pharmacy connected to a clinic, primarily covering sick time and PTO while the search for a full-time Director of Pharmacy continues. The role includes verifying prescriptions and ensuring smooth daily operations with the support of pharmacy technicians.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• Initial coverage includes two days in September, with possibility of additional days as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process approximately 200 prescriptions daily
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Utilize knowledge of Scriptpro pharmacy automation system (preferred)
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Missouri State Pharmacist license in good standing
• Certification as an immunizer and BLS/CPR certification required
• Missouri Notice of Intent (NOI) filed with the Board of Pharmacy to administer vaccines or medications by prescription (mandatory)
• Experience in outpatient/clinic and retail pharmacy settings preferred
