Outpatient Pharmacist | Kansas City, Missouri

A busy outpatient pharmacy located next to the main hospital building in downtown Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract opportunity lasting approximately 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire. The role requires immediate availability to join and support pharmacy operations Monday through Friday on day shifts.

Responsibilities include verifying, checking, and filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently. You will counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, ensuring they understand usage and safety guidelines. Additionally, oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians is an integral part of the position, maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice within the outpatient setting. Experience with EPIC pharmacy information systems will be essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will bring approximately one year of pharmacy experience and hold an active Missouri pharmacist license or have the eligibility and willingness to obtain one promptly. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are key to providing quality patient care and proper medication management.
