Verification Pharmacist - 13-Week Contract-to-Hire | Houston, TX


We are seeking an experienced Verification Pharmacist for an ASAP start in a 13-week contract-to-hire position. Candidates with prescription verification and compounding experience are encouraged to apply.


Position Details

  • Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM
  • Weekends: As needed
  • Shift: 1st shift
  • Start: ASAP


Responsibilities

  • Verify compounded prescriptions for accuracy, dosing, interactions, and labeling.
  • Resolve prescription discrepancies and medication-related issues.
  • Support pharmacy technicians and compounding teams.
  • Maintain compliance with USP standards, Texas pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and HIPAA.


Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas pharmacist license.
  • Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacist experience; 2+ preferred.
  • Prescription verification experience required.
  • Compounding, specialty, closed-door, or high-volume pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> preferred.
