Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Kaukauna, Wisconsin

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in a small 40-bed hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy environment with a varied patient population including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and surgical services.

Schedule options include a 4x10-hour day shift from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with rotating weekends or a flexible blocked schedule such as 7 days on followed by 7 days off. The assignment is an immediate start, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders and reviewing pharmacist technician work.
• Answer pharmacist phone calls and provide clinical support.
• Prepare and dispense inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments.
• Manage medication needs for an inpatient census typically ranging from 30 to 40 patients.
• Support diverse clinical areas including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, oncology, emergency department, and surgical cases.

Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure and relevant hospital pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and order verification processes.
• Expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding, particularly IV and chemotherapy preparation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
