Join a dynamic healthcare setting as a Part-Time Long Term Care Pharmacist working 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8am and 6pm. This contract role offers an initial 1-month assignment with the possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a specialized pharmacy environment focused on skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians.
- Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians by phone.
- Count controlled substances and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation.
- Inspect and confirm the contents of emergency medication boxes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
- Active and in-good-standing pharmacist license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, ideally in Long Term Care settings.
- Proficient with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds.
