Inpatient Pharmacist - Knoxville, TN

This opportunity is for a Night Pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital located near Gallatin, Tennessee, approximately 30 miles northeast of Nashville. The role offers a contract position with a consistent night shift schedule, ideal for professionals seeking experience in a hospital inpatient setting.

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Perform medication order verification with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with protocols
• Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient medication regimens
• Consult closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmaceutical guidance
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee pharmacist license
• Demonstrated experience working in a hospital inpatient pharmacy
• Proven ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Willingness to travel to the facility as required
