Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
  • Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and adjustments
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Schedule:

  • Multiple shift options available, including day and evening shifts
  • Shift lengths vary: 8, 10, or 12 hours
  • Possible shifts: 7AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4:30PM, 1PM-9PM, 2PM-10PM, 7AM-5PM, 11AM-9PM, 12 noon-10PM, 7AM-7PM, or 8AM-8PM

Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Pharmacist License
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
