Supervisor Mail Order Pharmacist in Lamont, CA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Supervisor in a specialized compounding pharmacy focused on animal health, located in Bakersfield, CA. The role requires an experienced leader to guide a team of pharmacists producing high-quality compounded medications, ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvements in pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality standards
• Oversee daily compounding pharmacy operations and workflow management
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
• Maintain accurate training records and enforce proper compounding procedures
• Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations
• Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments to enhance operations
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a pharmacy lab setting
• 25 years of compounding pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of USP standards, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
• Proven leadership, strong communication, and mentoring abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus, depending on experience
• Eligible for additional benefits
