Hospital Pharmacist - Lees Summit, Missouri

A 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City suburbs is seeking a Pharmacist to support their medication management and clinical services. This contract opportunity offers a chance to expand your expertise in a hospital setting, with both local and traveling pharmacists encouraged to apply.

Location:

• Suburban hospital near Lees Summit, MO, serving Independence, MO area

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Collaborate and consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Utilize Meditech electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Missouri pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred; retail pharmacists looking to transition into hospital pharmacy are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
