Hospital Pharmacist | Levittown, Pennsylvania

A clinical pharmacist position is available with a direct hire opportunity to support patient care in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) at a respected medical center in State College, PA. This role offers a unique chance to develop diverse clinical skills by rotating across multiple critical service areas rather than being confined to just one unit. Additionally, participation on the antibiotic stewardship team enhances the scope for professional growth and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Entering and verifying medication orders, reviewing medication profiles to ensure appropriateness, and providing clinical services tailored to specific patient populations
• Serving as a resource for drug information and participating in multi-disciplinary team rounds
• Monitoring drug therapy and conducting pharmacist-managed consults following established protocols
• Engaging in acute patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma situations within the ED and CCU settings

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
• Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years current clinical experience
• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system preferred
