Hospital Pharmacist - Lewistown, PA
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced clinical pharmacists to provide specialized care in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) in State College, PA. This role offers a unique chance to develop and apply a diverse skill set by working across multiple units rather than being restricted to a single floor. The successful candidate will also contribute to the hospitals antibiotic stewardship efforts while being an integral member of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Location:
- State College, PA a vibrant community and home to Penn State University

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders while maintaining accurate medication profiles
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to specific patient populations in ED and ICU
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide drug information support
- Monitor drug therapies and manage consults based on established protocols
- Engage actively in acute patient scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma events
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required
- PGY1 residency or minimum of 3 years current clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience with Meditech IT system is a plus
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
Schedule:
- Variable day and afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour day shifts
