A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to manage medication dispensing and patient care within a Long Term Care and Mail Order environment. This contract opportunity offers a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM for an 8-week duration in Liberty Lake, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept, review, and accurately dispense prescription medications.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential over-usage.
  • Ensure medication supply complies with legal regulations.
  • Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate for patients.
  • Maintain confidential and detailed patient and pharmacy records.
  • Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
  • Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure screening, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the use and care of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Identify drug-related patient issues and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Washington State Pharmacist License.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy settings.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and uphold patient confidentiality.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
