Inpatient Pharmacist - Long Beach, California

This position offers an opportunity to practice as a pharmacist within a dynamic inpatient hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients in a busy health system.

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• Four 10-hour shifts per week

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in an inpatient hospital environment
• Monitor patient medication therapies to ensure safety and efficacy
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacological treatments
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current licensure in California
• Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication management and hospital pharmacy operations
• Ability to work flexible schedules including variable days and afternoons
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This is a contract opportunity with a well-established county health system, known for serving a diverse patient population through multiple ambulatory care clinics and hospitals.
