Inpatient Pharmacist - Long Beach, CA

A Pharmacist opportunity is available in a hospital inpatient setting near downtown Los Angeles, close to Dodger Stadium. This role supports a LTAC/Rehab hospital with many patients on ventilators, requiring a detail-oriented professional to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Contract (month-to-month, potential to extend)
Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Flexible to work Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (TTH) schedule possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and compliance
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and ensure safety
• Consult with physicians on medication management and adjustments
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Previous experience in a hospital inpatient or LTAC setting
• Familiarity with Meditech pharmacy information systems preferred
• Ability to work locally and start promptly, ideally by the week of June 1
