Chemo Hospital Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A healthcare facility within a major county health system is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support both inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy/oncology services. This role involves the preparation and management of IV chemotherapy treatments in a hospital setting and offers the opportunity to work with a large, diverse patient population.

Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
Job Type: Contract, with potential for temp-to-hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense IV chemotherapy medications in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Provide pharmacy support for inpatient and outpatient oncology patients
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery
• Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions and adverse effects specific to oncology treatments
• Maintain proper documentation and adherence to hospital protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital and oncology pharmacy
• Proficiency in preparing IV chemotherapy agents and familiarity with oncology pharmacotherapy
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience working within a large health system preferred
