Inpatient Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A pharmacy role is available at a major Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital, serving inpatient medication needs within a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position offers a valuable opportunity to work within a large health system that includes multiple outpatient clinics and hospitals. The role is primarily focused on providing expert inpatient pharmacy services at a well-regarded medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify medications for inpatient hospital units accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy and ensure safety
• Participate in pharmacy operations supporting inpatient care, including medication storage and inventory management
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, as well as regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with valid state pharmacy license
• Approximately 2 years of current inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Completion of PGY1 residency highly desired, reflecting strong clinical skills
• Ability to pass a mandatory competency examination upon hiring
• Successful completion of background clearance through Livescan fingerprinting required prior to start
