Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Los Angeles, CA
Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a travel pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital located in Southern California, approximately two hours east of San Diego. This role offers the opportunity to deliver expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting while gaining valuable experience with a well-established team.
Location:
- El Centro, CA
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Some shared on-call duties as part of the team
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapies
- Conduct pharmacokinetic assessments to tailor drug treatment plans
- Utilize Cerner pharmacy information system for clinical and operational tasks
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license
- Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficient or highly experienced with Cerner electronic health records system is strongly preferred
- Ability to start immediately is essential for this assignment
