Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Los Angeles, CA

Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a travel pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital located in Southern California, approximately two hours east of San Diego. This role offers the opportunity to deliver expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting while gaining valuable experience with a well-established team.

Location:

• El Centro, CA

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Some shared on-call duties as part of the team

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapies
• Conduct pharmacokinetic assessments to tailor drug treatment plans
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy information system for clinical and operational tasks

Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficient or highly experienced with Cerner electronic health records system is strongly preferred
• Ability to start immediately is essential for this assignment
