Travel Pharmacist | Macomb, Illinois

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services at a small, 25-bed hospital located in a rural setting in Macomb, Illinois. This travel position offers an enriching hospital environment where you will contribute to patient care with a skilled healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and review medications within the hospital setting following best practices and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize pharmacological treatment plans
• Monitor and manage medication therapies, including nutritional support and IV therapy as applicable
• Provide pharmacokinetic consultation where required
• Participate in weekend rotations based on schedule needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of one year recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Additional training or experience in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a smaller hospital environment

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, either 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM 7:00 PM shifts
• Possible weekend rotation to support hospital needs

Location:

• Macomb, Illinois, in a small community hospital setting with approximately 25 beds
