Per Diem Retail IV Compounding Pharmacist in Marion, VA

This opportunity seeks an experienced Staff Pharmacist to work per diem in a retail and compounding environment. The role focuses primarily on retail prescription checks with some involvement in non-sterile compounding verification. The position is scheduled for Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing consistent weekly hours and flexibility for other commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate retail prescription checks with limited patient counseling
• Review and verify non-sterile compounded prescriptions, applying mathematical skills to formula calculations
• Utilize Pioneer RX for order entry and prescription management
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards within a retail/compounding setting

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacy license is required
• Retail pharmacy experience is essential for successful prescription verification
• Experience or familiarity with non-sterile compounding is a strong plus
