This opportunity offers a dynamic role for a Clinical Pharmacist to engage in diverse critical care settings, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU), as well as contribute to the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where clinical pharmacists may be limited to a single unit, this position allows for broad clinical growth across multiple specialized areas.

Based in State College, PAan attractive community known for its scenic environment and the presence of Penn State Universitythis position provides the chance to work in a welcoming healthcare environment with variable day and afternoon shifts primarily consisting of 8-hour day shifts. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify medication orders while ensuring appropriateness of medication profiles.
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient-specific populations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in patient rounds.
  • Monitor drug therapy and conduct pharmacist-managed consults according to protocols.
  • Support acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma within ED and critical care settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical experience.
  • Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly.
  • Experience with Meditech pharmacy information systems preferred.
